Canadian Dairy and Food Leader Awards CCSI CompuCom with Three-Year Contract for Bilingual Service Desk Capabilities; Parmalat Takes Another Step with CompuCom Toward Complete IIM Solution

Mississauga, Ontario—April 18, 2006—CCSI Technology Solutions Corp., a subsidiary of CompuCom Systems, Inc. (CCSI CompuCom), today announced that it has been awarded a three-year contract for providing service desk support to Parmalat Canada, a subsidiary of Italian food product giant Parmalat Finanziaria S.p.A. Parmalat Canada has been a client for more than a decade, historically purchasing hardware and software along with some support services. The new project was successfully completed in early February whereby CCSI CompuCom’s service desk solution now provides an average speed of answer within 30 seconds and is handling more than 700 calls per month. Headquartered in Dallas, CompuCom is a Platinum Equity company.

Displacing a three-year incumbent, the expanded relationship agreement between CCSI CompuCom and Parmalat includes onshore Canadian service desk support in English and French on a 7x24x365 basis. By tightly coupling the entire portfolio of CompuCom’s IT lifecycle management offerings around the Parmalat service desk, CompuCom is able to help standardize processes, gain efficiencies and reduce downtime through its Integrated Infrastructure Management™ (IIM) strategy.

Parmalat produces and distributes a full range of dairy products including milk, yogurt, cheese, margarine and butter. Parmalat's major brands include Beatrice, Lactantia, Astro, Parkay, Black Diamond and Balderson. With 19 operating facilities and approximately 1,200 users across Canada, Parmalat looked for a strategic IT provider that could provide a single point of contact for end users and would have a minimal business impact during the transition on those users within agreed-upon service levels.

“Parmalat is committed to innovation in our business practices, our products and our services to ensure we are the preferred supplier of our customers,” said Vince Campanelli, Vice President of Information Technology at Parmalat. “Based on its impressive track record, we knew in choosing CCSI CompuCom that the transition would go smoothly and that the CCSI CompuCom team would help us to continue operating efficiently. In working with CCSI CompuCom on providing service desk support, we were pleased to extend our relationship and further validate our decision-making process,” added Campanelli.

“We are delighted to expand our existing partnership with Parmalat Canada, as they are truly an exemplary organization in Canada,” said Karen Jenks, Vice President of CCSI CompuCom. “CCSI CompuCom is committed to supporting Parmalat with our leading services offering, and based upon this service desk success, CCSI CompuCom is now looking at additional opportunities with Parmalat.”
